Over the weekend my family made a trek to Michigan for a gathering to remember my great uncle, Al who passed away in March. It was fun to see some family I haven’t seen in years. We also got to see some old photos of my grandfather.
We also made a stop at the lake my grandparents had a cottage. We went in April but it was cold and snowy. This time the weather was really nice. I sat on some steps and reminisced about years gone by.
I’m grateful for these times I have with my family. Even though it was sad as we were remembering my great uncle Al, we got to catch up with family we haven’t seen in years.
We stayed at a placed called “Cedar Bend Farm” and we loved that there was a playground for my niece and nephew. They also had a game room where we could go and spend time because it decided to rain all day on Saturday. (There is a whole story I will write about our time there. It was a great place!)
Here are a few photos from our time in Michigan.

These are photos of my grandfather and his brothers.

Reminiscing about reminiscing! So good to see you and be with family.
